Game of Thrones Daniel Portman Says Hes Been Groped by So Many Female Fans
The cast of Game of Thrones have been candid over the years about how psychologically taxing it’s been to star in such a monstrously popular series, including stories about Sophie Turner facing depression and Kit Harington turning to frequent therapy sessions. The latest actor to open up about their not-so-great experience is Daniel Portman, who portrays the lovable squire Podrick in the series — and as he explained to Esquire, certain female fans made his life pretty miserable for a while due to their astounding lack of boundaries.
“I’ve been grabbed by so many … like the amount of like older, older women who are very …” Portman explained, making a grabbing-hand gesture. “What can you do? You know? Obviously tell them not to do it. It hasn’t happened for a while. In this day and age you’d think that people would be able to separate reality from fiction. I don’t want to say it comes with the territory, but, you know, people are crazy about it. It’s certainly not cool.” Still, Portman insists it’s been an honor to portray such a beloved (and well-endowed) character. “It’s really not a bad thing,” he joked.
