HASKs High-Performance Hair Care Is Loved By Celebs, And Its So Affordable

The word ‘luxe’ tends to make us think of something crazy expensive. But really, luxe can mean indulgent, high quality and covetable – which is what hair care brand HASK does for under a tenner. Don’t let the price point fool you. The brand is a favourite amongst A-list hair stylists. It’s been used on everyone from Angelina Jolie to Michelle Rodriguez and Emma Stone, and it’s become the most reached-for brand on films and TV shows, including Cruella, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Bridgerton, Pam & Tommy and Jennifer Aniston’s The Morning Show.

What sets it apart? For starters, it’s problem-solving. Formulas are divided into a number of different collections that focus on curl care, colour care, thickening, nourishing and purifying, amongst others, to suit all hair types. The ingredients – and scents – are yum, with coconut oil, biotin, argan oil, tea tree, vitamin E and coffee extract all featuring as hero ingredients. As for the performance? It’s said to rival that of high-end, ultra-pricy alternatives, so obviously we wanted in on the action.

We tasked five GLAMOUR staffers with choosing a product for their hair type and taking it for a spin. Here’s what they thought…

Product: HASK Coconut Oil Nourishing Deep Conditioner, £3

My hair is pretty long and gets hit with styling tools, like my blow dryer and curling wand, on a regular basis. The ends are looking especially frazzled at this point, which is why every few weeks I like to treat them to a spa sesh – such as a nourishing mask – to try to soothe any damage and bring back shine. With life being crazy recently, I’d fallen off the wagon and let my hair reach a dire state. The

heatwave sapped things further, so I was looking for a product that could offer super-deep hydration and quench my knackered strands. The Coconut Oil Nourishing Deep Conditioner fit the bill. I applied it after I’d shampooed my hair and turned off the shower – coating the product through my lengths and ends. It says to leave it on for up to 10 minutes, so I used the time to exfoliate my bod and feet, then rinsed the lot off. Honestly, it’s a joy to use. The smell alone is dreamy – like a Bounty Bar and a tropical vacay. It’s thick and silky to slide through hair, and left my strands looking noticeably healthier and shinier. Plus, I caught whiffs of that yum scent throughout the rest of the day.

Product: HASK Argan Repairing Hair Oil, £3 - £5

My hair has been through the ringer. In the past couple of years, I’ve bleached it, dyed it and dyed it again. So, that (plus its natural tendency to get dry very quickly) means it’s always in serious need of some TLC.

I applied the HASK Argan Repairing Hair Oil to wet hair, just out of the shower. It was super-easy to apply with the pump applicator and all of the product transferred onto my hair after combing it through with my fingers – meaning less oily residue on my hands. After letting my hair dry, I could immediately see the difference. My curls looked far more defined again and there was an added shine throughout my whole head of hair. I could also feel the difference – my hair felt soft and nourished, and (most importantly) healthy! did notice there was some frizz still, but HASK recommends for best results to apply the oil to damp (semi-towel dried) hair as well as applying a small amount to hair once dry to help alleviate the excess frizz. And it comes in a convenient vial size or as a larger pump size.

I’ll definitely be reaching for this whenever my hair needs a little love and care.

Product: HASK Tea Tree Oil & Rosemary range, from £6.99

Having fine hair means my routine typically involves a lot of products – protecting cream, volumising mousse, dry shampoo, hair oil, and whatever else I can find in my bathroom to try to hold a style. Come wash-day, my scalp often feels full of build-up, which leaves my hair feeling quite lifeless and in need of a deep wash. HASK’s Tea Tree Oil & Rosemary range sold itself as the cure to all these woes, with purifying ingredients that aim to refresh and nourish. The Invigorating Shampoo had a very clean smell, with the tea tree fragrance most notable. It lathered well, and after a double cleanse and the Invigorating Conditioner, my scalp did truly feel refreshed while my ends were smooth. After a quick blow-dry the results were flawless, and my hair felt lighter, cleaner and healthier after just one wash.

Product: HASK Curl Care Collection, from £7

I have Afro hair, so I’m on a constant mission to find the most moisturising and hydrating curl products to wash and detangle the ’fro. I heard great things about this Curl Care collection. The whole HASK range is free of sulphates, parabens, phthalates, silicones and gluten, which is music to my ears. I’m used to wasting half a shampoo bottle on wash days. Due to habit, I was generous with the amount I applied, but with the Moisturizing Shampoo from this range, a little goes a long way. Be quick to buy though, this product is so popular it's going fast.

I gave it a thorough rinse, then applied the Intensive Deep Conditioner and left it on my head for a good five minutes. As I finger-combed through my curls, I could feel them detangling without too much tugging and pulling. Success! Post-rinse, I could already tell my hair felt softer – and after styling, you could see that natural sparkle and shine peeping through. I love it when my curls get a revival. Washday is not so bad after all.

Product: HASK Biotin 5-in-1 Leave-In Spray, £6.99

Living in London has exposed my hair to damaging elements. With my hair being quite fine, dry and damaged, finding products that help nourish and revitalise it has been difficult, until I discovered the HASK hair collection.

I used both the 5-In-1 Leave-In Spray from the Biotin Boost collection and the Repairing Hair Oil from the Argan Oil Repairing collection [as seen in Luca’s review] on wet hair. Both products were really easy to apply. The Leave-In Spray gave my hair volume and strength. When brushing it through once dry, I noticed that my hair was detangled and felt much thicker than usual. Whereas the Argan Oil gave intense conditioning and gave my hair a new lease of life. Not to mention, both products smell amazing. HASK recommends applying from mid-lengths to ends and to avoid applying the oil too close to roots (especially on fine or thin hair), as with any oil, that can weigh hair down.

I have received many compliments on how my hair looks and smells! I haven’t washed my hair for days and it still feels restored. I’m ready to go out in the city with brand new hair.
